"Subsidized Housing Sales in Bali Increased by 20%, Tabanan and Buleleng Best Sellers" from Tribun Bali (Indonesian): The Indonesian Real Estate Company (REI) Bali stated that a year into the Covid-19 pandemic, there was an increase in subsidized house sales. Chairman of the DPD REI Bal, I Gede Suardita, assessed that the increase is because the community has begun to adapt to the new normal pattern and the rise of economic sectors outside of tourism. "The sales of subsidized houses are in five districts in Bali. Among them are Negara, Buleleng, Tabanan, Karangasem and Klungkung, with highest sales in the Tabanan and Buleleng areas." He said this was because the Tabanan area is a buffer zone for Sarbagita, while Buleleng is the area with the largest population in Bali. There are several facilities such as a down payment of only 1%, interest of 5%, and subsidies for advances from the government of Rp.4 million. Suardita said that in 2020 the initial target of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) is around 3,000 units. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this target could only be realized, namely around 1,500 units.
