"More Beaches Temporarily Closed In Badung" from The Seminyak Times: The Badung government continues closing places where large groups gather and this time it was the Canggu beaches. After Kuta beach was closed a few days ago, all access to the beaches through Canggu, (Echo Beach), Tibubeneng (Berawa) have now been blocked to the public... Authorities say that the beaches were closed because they became worried about the number of people gathering on them and especially around sunset.
"To Prevent COVID-19, Jokowi Prepares A Homecoming Prohibition" from Bali Puspa News (Indonesian): Presidential Spokesman Jokowi Fadjroel Rachman said that the President plans to issue regulations prevent travel during the Eid al-Fitr holiday. The prohibition of going home would take the form of a Presidential Regulation and Presidential Instruction. The regulation is still in the design stage and will be released soon... "The government is preparing a Presidential Regulation and Presidential Instruction as the legal basis for regulating the Eid al-Fitr holiday 1441 Hijriyah to prevent the spread of COVID-19," Fadjroel said in a written statement on Monday.
"Starting Today, Market and Shop Operational Hours are Limited" from Nusa Bali (Indonesian): The operating hours of traditional markets and shops in the city of Denpasar will be limited starting Monday... The operational restriction was carried out to reduce the occurrence of crowds and direct contact with the community in shopping areas and to cut off the spread of the coronavirus. Exact hours will depend on each market's regularly scheduled operating times. For example, the Gunung Agung Fish Market operates from 20:00 - 03.00; it will now be open from 01:00 - 06:00. "Limitation of Market Hours, Prices of Staples Still Stable" from Bali Puspa News (Indonesian): The Regional Inflaton Control Team of Buleleng Regency has conducted a survey of small and medium businesses in Anyar Singaraja Market and Banyuasri Market on Monday. The team found that the prices of basic food items such as rice, meat and vegetables were still relatively stable.
"Vegetable Demand Increases, Distributors Overwhelmed" from The Bali Post (Indonesian): Agung Weda, a vegetable distributor, who is also the Chairman of the Cool Young Farmers Community (PMK), said on Monday that demand for vegetables has been increasing, but that it has also been followed by rising supply thanks to the current harvest of cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes and red chillies. He sends half a million vegetable boxes (2-3 kg each) every day to people's homes. It contains carrots, potatoes, pokcoy, spinach and tomatoes... Communication and Legal Manager of Angkasa Pura I International Airport, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Arie Ahsannurohim, said the decline was inseparable due to the spread of the coronavirus worldwide... The number of domestic flights on March 29 was only 62, a decrease of 42.59% from 108 on the same day last year.
"Hundreds Of Foreign Nationals Evacuated from Bali Amid Coronavirus Outbreak" from Coconuts: Hundreds of foreigners departed Bali over the weekend, some with chartered flights organized by their respective governments, following flight cancelations across the globe amid the COVID-19 outbreak... The Ngurah Rai Immigration office said in a statement that over 200 foreigners, consisting mostly of German nationals, boarded a chartered German Airlines flight on Saturday headed for Frankfurt, while over 400 passengers consisting of mostly French nationals headed to France with Qatar Airways on the same day.
"Telkomsel Makes Access to Official COVID-19 Information Websites Free" from Bali Puspa News (Indonesian): Telkomsel is now cooperating hand in hand with relevant stakeholders such as the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the Provincial Government of DKI Jakarta, by providing quota-free access to three official COVID-19 information sites: www.covid19.go.id, www.infinemerging.kemkes.go.id, www.corona.jakarta.go.id.
