The Big News
“Bali Reaches 100% Vaccination Rate for First Dose” from CNN Indonesia (Indonesian): The Ministry of Health noted that Bali Province has carried out 100% of the COVID-19 vaccination for the first dose. The number of people who received the first dose of vaccination in Bali was 3.42 million people. The majority of recipients of the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination were public officials, reaching 335% of the target of 338,389 people. Then, 142.5% of health human resources of the target 36,843 people, 71.62% of the general public and vulnerable people from the target of 2.17 million people, and 94.58% of residents aged 12-17 years from the target of 397,239 people. The portion of the elderly who received the first dose of vaccination was only 65.52% of the target of 454,904 people.
Context: When the government publishes its vaccination rate figures, it does so in the context of its goal of administering shots to 79% of the population (3.4 million people). Please see the Bali Beat Sunday evening email for an update on progress against the total population.
“Governor Koster Lays First Stone for Construction of Bangli General Hospital” from Antara Bali (Indonesian): Bali Governor I Wayan Koster laid the first stone for the construction of the Bangli General Hospital to improve health services to the local community, on Friday. "With the construction of the Bangli General Hospital which will later be able to improve services in the health sector," he said. Regent Nyoman Sedana Arta said laying the first stone for the construction of the Bangli General Hospital is a strategic step to realize the vision of "Nagun Sat Kertih Loka Bali" in Bangli Regency, especially in the health sector, in addition to other strategic developments. The cost of building 1A and 1B was sourced from PT SMI's loan funds with a value of IDR 75 billion.
“714,000 Working Age People Affected by Covid-19 in Bali” from Tribun Bali (Indonesian): The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bali issued a release for the working age population affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in Bali. From the data that has been collected, there are more than 714,000 or around 20.35% of the working age population affected by Covid-19. The details are 48,890 unemployed people, 33,410 people not in the work force , while 38,150 people are not working, and 593,750 people experienced a reduction in working hours.

The regulation is planned to be issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Health in the near future. Spokesperson for the Buleleng Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Ketut Suwarmawan, said that as soon as he received information on vaccine permits for children, his party immediately consolidated the data. When referring to the data, there are at least 85,070 children who are the target recipients of the vaccine.

“Rapid Tests Randomly Conducted at 40 Buleleng Schools” from Bali Puspa News(Indonesian): To anticipate and prevent the spread of Covid-19, especially in the school environment, after a month of limited Face-to-Face Learning (PTM) in Buleleng Regency, steps such as testing in the form of random rapid tests were carried out by the Covid-19 prevention task force. The Coordinator for Data and Information for the Covid-19 Handling Task Force, Ketut Suwarmawan, said that according to the data obtained, the implementation of this rapid test had been running from 19 October to 3 November. From the total data that was recorded until this news was revealed, there were 40 schools in Buleleng Regency with 40 teachers and 360 students whose results were declared negative. “We have scheduled it starting from mid-October.
