The government has cancelled its visa-on-arrival process and rolled out enhanced entry requirements for people traveling to Indonesia; they have also granted automatic extensions to most foreigners who are still in the country on temporary stay visas. "Bali Authorities Officially Cancel Plans to Hold Nyepi-like Observance to Curb Spread of COVID-19' from Coconuts: Following a heated polemic that’s mostly taken place online over plans to hold a Nyepi-like observance in Bali to curb the spread of COVID-19, authorities on the island today declared that the plan has been scrapped... “There is no more Bali Nyepi or Sipeng,” said Ida Panglingsir Agung Putra Sukahet, chief of Bali province’s Majelis Desa Adat or traditional village council.
"Beware of Dengue Fever During the COVID-19 Pandemic COVID-19: Bali Has Second-highest Infection Rate Nationally" from The Bali Tribune (Indonesian): The Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19 reminds the public to also be aware of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) in the midst of a new type of Corona virus pandemic because it is currently a transition period... With the renewal of the regulatons, supermarkets consisting of Minimarkets, Supermarkets, Hypermarkets, Department Stores, Groceries / Wholesalers, Shopping Centers, Starbucks, Chatime and other businesses in the Badung Regency area, operating hours are from 09:00 to 21:00.
"COVID-19 Hits, But Bali Grows Its Trade Surplus" from The Bali Post (Indonesian): Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, Bali's trade balance is in fact a surplus. Bali's exports increased by 4.37% while Bali's imports dropped dramatically by 26.17%... The head of the Bali Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Adi Nugroho, said that while Bali's trade balance is only a small part of national trade, the surplus of US$38 million in February was significant. It was up from US$23 million in January, and $32 million in February 2019.
